Who Are We?
Xpress Web Developers is an online web development business that provides businesses/professionals/web developers and even starter's a solution, from building a website from scratch to adding features such as Login System, Members Areas and much more. We provide a range of products/services to meet your needs whether its something you can use straight from our website to something that can be customly made to your website needs. We now even allow our customers to host their websites on our servers.
The Company
Xpress Web Developers is based in the United Kingdom and are registered in England and Wales by The Companies House. We have over 5 years of web development experience. We have currently made over 20 different websites meeting the w3c coding standards, we mostly specialise in PHP (Hypertext Pre-processor) for any background processing scripts or database based websites as MySQL databases are more stable than the Microsoft Office Access database (Commonly receive a catastrophic failure) but we do also code in ASP (Active Server Pages). We are constantly improving our products/services and developing our customer base. One of the main reasons why Xpress Web Developers continues to grow is because we have good business relationships with our customers and are able to maintain high quality service levels.
Products/Services
Some of our products/services are provided to you at no-cost, for those that do not have a budget, but these products/services are not of high quality. Our best products/services (non-free) allows you to get full help and support from our team at all times, we also help you customise your products to make it unique or to help integrate it into your website templates. Our custom products are slightly higher priced as we have to make them unique for your website as well as to your custom needs. All paid products/services are reasonably priced (value for the money you spend on it). We will do the best we can to help you with your website, as you do not need any programming knowledge as we will do the coding side for you.
If you have a template and design that you want to use for your website you can send that into us as well as let us know how many pages you want and we can send you a reasonable price for creating the website for and let you know how long it will take. If you do not have any ideas for your website, we can help you come up with a design and theme for your site. If you just want to add extra features to your site we have scripts and JavaScript’s that you can add using our guidelines we provide or just ask us for help if you get stuck.The services that we provide you with on our website are such as 'live online help support', 'emailing support/support tickets', 'forums', 'help centre (located in support centre)'. All of these services we provide are at no-cost (free), we are simply there to help you with any questions, enquires or quires you may have.
Hosting
We don't only provide you with help to getting your website complete as we also provide you with hosting solutions to getting your website on the web, but you must register your website first and direct the domain name over to our name servers (ns1.xwebdev.com) and (ns2.xwebdev.com), we can help with this on selected companies as certain registrars allow you to change the name server. We provide three different hosting packages (Beginner, Business and Professional), these three packages have different quotas set out to the type of account it is and based on how each account type will perform.
Our Servers
We base our servers on Linux CentOS 5.0 built in with a cPanel management solution to keep all of the servers maintained, updated and secured. All of our servers have a direct dedicated 2GB line to each server provided by our ISP Company. Each of our servers have a storage of 6TB (Terabytes) each, with 24GB (Gigabytes) of RAM (Random Access Memory) along with a Intel Bi Xeon E5530 (2x 4x 2x 2.40+ GHz) processor. We make sure our servers are well maintained to give a 99.9% uptime.
Security
We have high security on all of our servers to avoid Hackers, Anti-DDOS (Distributed denial of service), Spammers and Botnet attacks. We have a track back system to trace any IRC using botnets that sends commands to them to attack our servers (Hackers and IRC owners traced back will be Prosecuted), botnet IP's will also get blocked. We also have a root kit on our server to avoid viruses or any type or infected files that are found on the servers. All of our servers are fully equipped with relevant physical security, including locks, cages, CCTV, etc.
Domain Registration
Xpress Web Developers is now very proud to say that we are now a Domain Registrar, this allows us to register, transfer and renew domains for our customers. The default name servers for all domains that are registered through us are set to (ns1.xwebdev.com) and (ns2.xwebdev.com).We also allow you to use our 'ID Protection' service which can be added for $1.99 (one-off-fee), this allows you to keep your details hidden from the WHOIS database when registering domains, instead of your details will will place ours as (on behalf of our customer).We also provide you with a 'lock domain' feature, this allows you to avoid anyone from transfering the domain away from us without your permission.we also provide you with an EPP code for transfering your domain, you must provide this code to the new domain registrar that you are transfering the domain to.If you buy your domain but just want to use it for email purposes we allow you to use our 'email forwarding' service for $0.99 (one-off-fee), you can use this with Hotmail (Microsoft) or G-Mail (Google) or any other email hosting websites.
Our Future Plans
By 2011 we plan to host thousands of customer's websites with quality website bandwidth. We plan to have around 10 more high ranked servers to host customer's websites of. We will have more standard servers, of which some will be split into VPS (Virtual Private Servers) while the rest being fully Dedicated servers as well as allowing different operating system bases (Linux (Red hat, Centos, Debian, Ubuntu, many more), Microsoft, Solaris and FreeBSD). We will also have more different types of products to sell as well as newer versions to ones we currently have. We also plan to become our own domain registrar so that customers can register their domain with us rather than going else where. As a result of all of these changes we will also be opening a careers section on our website for job seekers to apply.
